Musters’ Trail | The way of the Explorerfrom
George Musters traveled more than 2,750 km on foot with a Tehuelche caravan between 1869 and 1870, a story that was reflected in the book “Life among the Patagones.” Musters ’Trail is a tribute and a journey of discovery to the spot he met on the steppe route.

Even today considered an epic journey, the Tehuelche transhumance trails have crossed Patagonia for centuries with different objectives. Musters joined them to register one of these trips accompanying the community of Cacique Casimiro for 14 months. This circuit allows us to connect San Carlos de Bariloche with a Patagonian steppe anthropological bastion together with our expert guides.
